The Burlington VTest General English Exam places students across a 10-level CEFR scale(A1-C2) in all four skill areas: Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing.

VTest General 4Skills is accepted for admission and placement at Macromedia University. Please note that visa requirements may vary, so check with your local embassy to confirm which English certificates are accepted.

How Does It Work

  1. Purchase the test here for Macromedia University.
  2. Check your email for your unique test code and assessment link.
  3. Open the VTest link in the email and enter your test code.
  4. Fill in your details and begin the assessment.
  5. Enter your test code again on the VTest Results Portal to access your score report.

Important Information

VTest includes built-in online proctoring. This means your exam is monitored remotely to help make sure the rules are followed and everyone’s results are fair and accurate.

Proctoring starts automatically and uses your camera and microphone during the exam.

  • You must have your national identity card or passport.
  • You must have a stable internet connection.
  • You must use a desktop computer or a laptop (mobile phones may be blocked) with a front-facing camera.
  • If proctoring rules aren’t followed, the test may be blocked, and scores will not be delivered”

Macromedia University and Burlington English are modernising language testing for international applicants

Macromedia University of Applied Sciences and Burlington English have launched a partnership to overhaul language testing for international applicants. The aim is to develop a digital process that accurately, fairly and efficiently assesses language skills, thereby further improving the university’s admissions process.
One element of this collaboration is the introduction of Burlington VTest General English: a cost-effective, CEFR-compliant alternative for certifying English language proficiency.
